The movie with the loud trailer, and one voice that says "Hereafter" in a very deep eerie voice.
The trailer had me thinking it would be a melo drama about a psychic (matt damon) who...doesnt want to be a psychic.
The opening scene was i must admit...breathtaking. Then the rest of the film was...well... just the opposite. It was breath giving, if that makes any sense. It was by far the boringest movie that kept my attention. For some unknown reason i was "into" the story, that really wasn't a story.
I mean...YES, it was a somewhat unique concept, but it was one of those "3 stories in one, and ill make you watch these 3 different stories, and then in the end ill make an amazing ending where all three stories intervene"
Sadly i didnt make it to the end, after my one pack of menthol and nagaraya peanuts that my dad bought, i was sound asleep with my feet on top of the chair in front of me. I woke up to the end credits, and i thought i had died and was seeing "the light".
The movie surprisingly is hovering around 50% on rotten tomatoes, but im not surprised, those critics always just want to be against the grain. I think most movie critics are just hungry for attention.
ON THAT NOTE.
